Almost all equipment and resources in the lab can be booked in advance and members who book get priority over those that haven't.
How it Works
- Bookings are made in the shared calendar page here (see How-To guide below):
Bookings Calendar
- If the link to the calendar page does not appear, please ensure you are signed into Notion (for 42 students using your student email address). If you’re still not seeing it, reach out on Slack
- Overnight bookings are permitted and encouraged for our 3D printers
- Please be in the lab within 15 minutes of your booking start time, otherwise it is considered cancelled and anyone may take your booking
- Please do not block book or overbook - we are a shared space
- Be generous and flexible with others where you can - things don't always go to plan
How to Create a Booking
The procedure is as follows:
- In the calendar, click the blue dropdown arrow (to the right of the New button) and choose the entry for the item you would like to book (templates exist for most items)
- If you don’t see dropdown entry for your item, choose the Booking entry and on the page that opens, click on Empty in the Resource section and select/search for your item there instead
- Now select a date and time, making sure the End date and Include time buttons are switched on (below the mini-calendar). Bookings without an end-date or time will not be considered valid
- The booking is now made and you can simply click anywhere outside of the page to close it. To confirm it has been made correctly, double check it's entry in the calendar
