There are four PC’s in the lab, (labelled LPC1-4 in white on the front). At the moment they are running Windows 10 only. On each PC there is:

• an open guest account which members should use (e.g. Fab Lab PC 1 Guest)
• a separate account for admins (e.g. Fab Lab PC 1)

Note: currently the Laser Cutter PC has no such accounts, but this is also planned.

Rules for Using the PC’s

• PC’s are to be used for FabLab related work only i.e. not for general 42 coding or hanging out. Priority is given to group projects or to individuals who don’t have access to a laptop.
• Take care when connecting Arduino’s via the PC’s USB port, as it is technically possible to damage the USB port.

Software

Some basic software is pre-installed (see list below). If you need to install anything else, ask an admin to do this for you. And please message in the Slack #tech_support channel so we can keep track on what was installed and on which PC.

Using AutoDesk Fusion 360

To use this application, each user/PC needs a login and a single login cannot be shared between all PC’s. We have a number of logins which we try to maintain, please ask an admin if you need to use one.
