The contract between 42 Wolfsburg/Berlin e.V. and the members of FabLab is governed by
The basis for using the FabLab is a FabLab membership. FabLab members can be natural persons of legal age. It is not possible to transfer the right of use to another person.
Membership Card
Students members will get a sticker on their student ID card to indicate membership. Non-student members will receive a personal membership card. These are non-transferable. The membership card must be carried when using the FabLab and shown to staff on request in combination with photo identification.
Any loss of the membership card must be reported immediately to [email protected]. The member is liable for any damage until deactivation or damage caused by delayed notification of staff.
In the event of loss of the membership card, a fee of EUR 10.00 is payable for the issue of a replacement card.
The membership card may not be passed on. If it is passed on, a contractual penalty of 200.00 EUR shall be due. In addition, the member shall be liable for any damage occurring. FabLab reserves the right to block the membership card immediately and to exclude the member from the FabLab.
The house rules are exercised by Admins and FabLab Managers. Their instructions must be followed. In general, equipment can be used by members who completed instruction/training and if they are mentally and physically fit.
Availability
In principle, the FabLab is accessible to members during the general opening hours.
However, there is no legal claim to the availability of the FabLab infrastructure. Due to closed events, technical defects or other reasons, it may happen that parts of the FabLab or even the entire FabLab are temporarily unavailable. This does not give rise to any claim for reimbursement of fees or charges.
